Why Your Comments Now Need My Approval

Dear Readers,

First of all, if you're new to my blog, I'd like to welcome you. If you're not, welcome back. Either way, please don't take any offense on what I have to say. It really isn't directed to you unless you're the guilty party and already know this.

Just this year alone has been very stressful here at the Insane Writer household/hotspot. We've had close family members pass and a serious health issue involving myself. Because of this, my stress levels have been an extreme challenge and as a result my body seems to be taking its toll due to the stress. So, I've started minimizing it from my life. One of the most recent ways I am doing this is by now approving all comments on my blog.

In the past, approving comments wasn't really necessary, simply because my blog was a light-weight and viewers were respectable. However, lately I have noticed a few uncalled for comments that do not need to be left. Not only are they disrespectful to my readers, but the companies I take pride in working for as well.

So with that said, a few days ago I had such a comment going against a company I believe in. What irritated me was the commenter left the comment on one of the posts for the Superman and Lois Lane Letters, then linked it to a post for a story of mine, bashing the company in a very negative way and demanding I remove their link, my story, etc. So that comment has been permanently deleted and I've made the necessary changes for that reason.

I really hope you all will understand the reason behind this and I hope you have a blessed evening.
