Social Media and a Ghostly Presence

The sign read triangle direct, so Julie knew she was in the right place. This was their corporate office for social media and a chance of a lifetime for Julie. This was it. Her dream coming true right here, right now and she just couldn’t believe it. Out of all of the candidates, they had picked her ideas. Her work. Her SEO tools and now she would be a part of their team.

Taking a deep breath, Julie straightened her shoulders and stepped into the building with a smile. But the smile soon turned to a frown as she surveyed her surroundings. The building was empty. Not a soul in sight. No furniture, no nothing. She had been duped. Julie left the building, a million thoughts racing through her mind as to why this had happened to her.

The secretary looked up from her desk and smiled at the young lady that had just entered the room with a smile on her face. She watched her smile turn to a frown and a look of confusing on her face as she looked around the room. The secretary started to speak when she noticed the girl turn away and head for the door. How strange. She thought. Had she gotten the wrong place? The secretary wondered. But it was then that the secretary sucked in a frightening breath. She could see right through the girl.
