NYC Vampire

Just a few notes I'm working on for another novel that takes place in NYC. Right now there are so many vampire novels out there that it's straight up ridiculous. So I am putting this on the back burner. And besides, I really need to get The Generation.

What was that? Had that shadow just moved? It couldn't have. She was alone. There was no one else there. Was there? She screamed.

There was something different about his eyes. Something she had never seen before. "Don't. Don't look at me." He growled at her. "Just run. Get the hell out of here." She trembled in his grasp. He would never hurt her. She had always known that.

Katheren is wandering around lost in NYC. it's beginning to get dark and cold and she's now missing her coat/jacket where all of her money, ID's were and she's now shivering and scared. Now she's thinking back to what happened to her jacket and
why she's a visitor there. Then she hears eerie noises which jumps her back to reality and a dog jumps out of nowhere and barks at her. She screams until she sees the dog is on a leash held by an old man who looks freaky and looks at her like she's a crazy.

He hisses fool girl and repeats the words over and over as he passes by her. She ignores the man in fear and presses on and then turns back for one last look and the old man shouts "Ya hear me, fool girl." Then Katheren decides to run and as she
does she runs around a corner and into Kage who has just stepped out of the darkness looking for prey for his brother and his brother's friends.
