Women Are Not Born Wearing Makeup, So Why Does the World Assume Otherwise?

Have you ever noticed how some people seem to drool over their favorite celebrity or the models we see in magazines, but will blow off your average everyday woman just because she doesn't wear makeup twenty four seven?

Why is that I wonder? Do they really believe all of that makeup they see on a girl on television or in a magazine looks that great? Or do they believe she looks like that twenty four seven?

What's unfortunate is many teens also idolize models and celebrities because they believe what others still believe -that those celebrities and models look that great all of the time. Well it's time to wake up world because they don't!

Have you ever been to a studio set or modeling show? If not, you're in for a real shock because all of that makeup is applied by a professional with a very heavy-hand. Think Tammy Faye Baker. And all of that makeup is also the reason why many models and celebrities don't wear the stuff away from camera much.

Yet still, we cause our teens to think that the perfect body, the perfect hair, the perfect makeup is an absolute must thanks to the media's input. And unfortunately we will continue to do so unless we show our teens differently.

Of course I'm not saying women shouldn't wear makeup at all because let's be honest, our self esteem gets a whole lot better when we go with what the world expects from us. But we shouldn't believe we're only beautiful with the stuff and neither should anyone else for that matter.

We live in a world where image is everything, but true beauty comes from the inside. And this world needs to be reminded of that, otherwise our teenagers will continue to believe it isn't true and the rest of the world will continue to look the other way.
