The ID -Two

"No, keep away from me!" Allie opened her eyes to the dark cold room. She had awakened to the sounds of someone screaming and then suddenly realized it was her. A shadow stood before her and leaned forward. Allie screamed again.

“Shh it’s just me.” Matt whispered as he sat down on the edge of the bed. Her screams had scared the hell out of him and at first he thought someone had broken into the hotel room. Somewhere in the night he'd fallen asleep without meaning to. But now he realized her screams were from some sort of nightmare. And as he reached down to stroke her hair, he knew there was no turning away from her.

From the very first moment he saw her when she turned on that light she'd captured his attention, but his work on what they called the software development company and reason for being at that party were holding him back. He knew he could never be with her, but now he was lost because somewhere she'd captured something more. His heart.

“I’m sorry I was dreaming about-.” She said in a near whisper.

“The party.” He finished. She nodded and he let his anger get the best of him. Jerking his hand away he stood up and turned angrily towards the window. “He won’t find you here. I won‘t let him hurt you.”
