Nursing Home Differences
When I worked as a CNA I learned a lot. One of the things that amazed me is that one of the nursing homes I worked for did not have disposable diapers. If they were needed, a family member brought them in. In others I had worked in, they were automatically issued to the patients without his or her family members needing to cover that expense.
Yet, this very same nursing home also did not allow personal oxygen tanks, where the others I had worked in, did. But, they were also in different states, so maybe it was a state regulation. I'm really not sure. It's just interesting how very different one place can be from another.
