More On Eye Care
The Eye Digest would once again like readers to know how important eye care is. If you remember my last post about Eye Digest, then you'll remember that I mentioned Lasik Surgery. It's not something I've had done myself, but only because I was examined and told I didn't need it. I do however recommend Lasik Surgery and I believe The Eye Digest is a great place to learn more about LASIK.
What is Lasik Surgery? Lasik is a refractive surgery procedure that reshapes the cornea, resulting in better to perfect vision.
If you wear glasses and are looking for a way to get rid of those glasses without having to wear contacts, then Lasik Eye Surgery may be the right choice for you. Even if you don't have to wear glasses, Lasik Surgery may be an option if your eyesight needs correction.
Before you decided however, there are some pros and Cons to Lasik Surgery.
Depending on your before eyesight, Lasik Surgery could allow you to achieve 20/20 vision or even 20/40 vision. However, there is also no guarantee that you will achieve perfect vision.
In rare cases, the Lasik procedure could result in loss of vision, double vision, loss of nighttime vision and severe dry eye syndrome.
Also keep in mind that the cost can be very expensive. Depending on the surgeon's qualifications, the cost can be around $1000 or more per an eye. Please do not think that a really cheap discount for this surgery can be a great alternative. While this may not always be the case, so-called surgeons offering an extreme price reduction in this type of surgery are often not qualified to perform the procedure. This can be very dangerous for both you and your eyes! Do Your Homework, first!
If you're still interested in Lasik Eye Surgery, great! Check out The Eye Digest to find out more information about LASIK.
There you will find some very informative information on the subject as well as, videos, and what you should expect before, during and after the procedure.
Be informed, be knowledged, learn everything about Lasik Surgery with The Eye Digest.
Would I get Lasik Surgery if I did ever need it, or recommend it to a friend? Absolutely! As long as you are informed and know what's involved, then why not? Seeing is a beautiful thing!
